The New Balance 880 V 7

New Balance 880 v 7

The New Balance 880 V 7 is in stores now, and the updates to this shoe are spectacular from Bottom to Top! The shoe is designed for Neutral runners, but can be effective from runners who under-pronate, have a neutral gait, or are mild over-pronators.

We are pleased to see improved placement and depth of flex grooves both across the entire outsole, but also their placement for medial and lateral release in the forefoot. This improves the ride in the forefoot, allowing a smoother transition from ground contact to toe off.

The 10mm offset is in the sweet spot for optimal ease of transition while continuing to offer great cushioning to assist with ground impact. Two layers of TruFuse foam help to disperse force at ground contact. The shoe has great flexibility and is not overly cushioned, thus allowing for a responsive feel though the gait cycle. Flex grooves in the outsole are matched in the midsole assisting in the flexibility and comfort. Overall the shoe feels smoother in it's ride and feel on the ground from it's predecessor.

This is where you will find many of the shoes best updates. The shoe features great fit through the heel and midfoot. The fit in the forefoot has a more engineered fit to reduce bagginess and excessive material while continuing to accommodate wider width forefeet as well. The seemless upper is incredibly comfortable, and the welded overlays give the shoe structural integrity.

Gorgeous. It is simultaneously sleek and subtle. 3D resin screen prints give the shoe much of it's appeal, but are used sparingly in application to not feel overdone.

This shoe will be perfect from road to bike path, and even on the more maintained trails of the region. Run the 101 in North County, or the roads and trails of Balboa Park or Mission Bay with ease. It will go from road to trail with ease, and works for Running, Walking, and Gym. Check it out at our next Orange Theory workout in Point Loma, Solana Beach, Encinitas, or Carlsbad too!

This shoe is available only in stores and retails at $125, so come visit Movin Shoes in Encinitas or Pacific Beach to try this beauty out!
