San Diego Run Club
Movin Shoes has the most active and varied Run Club of any club in San Diego. We offer weekly runs 4 days a week, including everything from neighborhood meet ups, store runs, intervals, and endurance runs! In addition we do numerous other great activities with our community partners throughout the year.
Here is a brief rundown:
COMPLETE TRAINING PROGRAM
Our Movin Shoes Training Program is FREE and open to all runners. We coordinate our Tuesday and Saturday weekly events with the program to get you ready for your next Full or Half Marathon. As we approach Spring, you can sign up for the Spring / Summer program. Let us know the event you are training for so we can customize a program to get you to your goal. SIGN UP TODAY
We offer a great 3-6 Mile Easy Run along the beautiful coast of Encinitas, Cardiff, and Leucadia. The run is at 6pm every week, except on certain Holidays. This is a traditional Running Store Run, with people of all abilities and skill levels. We often feature partner brands with demo footwear.
Again, we offer the same run from our Pacific Beach store, with a few unique twists every month. While always offering a flat 3-6 mile run, we also offer the Soledad Challenge on the 3rd Monday of every month. The Soledad Challenge is a 10k round trip to the summit of Mount Soledad and back.
TUESDAY RUN: Taco Shoesday
We offer a FREE Interval Training session on Tuesday evenings at the Runner's Bathroom at Mission Bay. We meet at 6pm and the workout is a little different every week. We typically will be working a little faster than normal run pace for between 20 and 30 minutes. The entire workout usually takes about 1 hour with warm up and stretching.
FRIDAY RUN: RUN619
Our unique store run: RUN619! We work with our blogging partner Running With SD Mom to offer a wakeup run to end your week! We meet at Heartwork Coffee Bar for a run of between 30 minutes and 45 minutes. Routes vary and tour many of our Uptown area towns, as well as Balboa Park.
SATURDAY RUN: Endurance
We meet every Saturday at Movin Shoes in Pacific Beach for an Endurance Run, training for various races throughout the USA (and even some international races). Train with us for your next Half or Full Marathon! Runs are usually between 40 minutes and 4 hours (for those lucky marathon folk). We meet at 7am every week (except for a few weeks in December). Join us any time and we'll help you get ready to run your next event.
